We recently moved to the Smith Lake area in September 2021. We both worked for an industrial construction company, Fluor Constructors for 44 years (Dennis) and 28 years (Joyce). Projects included power plants, gas sweeting, steam generation plants, environmental cleanup, and a hotel/casino/shopping center. We served as Office Administrator (Dennis) and Purchasing Agent (Joyce). We have lived in 15 different states during our years of employment.
We will celebrate 58 years of marriage in July 2023. We don’t have any children or grandchildren. Prior to moving to Crane Hill, Alabama, we lived in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dennis wanted to move near a lake where he could enjoy his hobby of fishing. We are enjoying the comforts of living at Smith Lake.
We joined LTCV in March 2023 and have participated in a couple of trash pickups so far. We have enjoyed the comradery among the members of LTCV and are happy to support keeping our roadways clean from all the trash and litter. And so impressed with the importance that LTCV places on safety of the crew working to pick up trash. We look forward to many more future pickups.
Please consider helping us fight the litter problem on our Smith Lake roadsides. We’ve learned that LTCV is a wonderful organization whose purpose is to succeed in returning our roadsides to ones we can all be proud of to travel. Contact LTCV on our website, https://LTCV.org/contact.
